Guizhou Guangda Aluminum Industry Co., Ltd. has an annual output of 800,000 tons of alumina project construction project started in Qingzhen City, Guizhou Province on the 8th. The total investment of the project is 20 billion yuan, and it is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2012.
It is understood that Guizhou is one of the provinces with rich bauxite reserves in China. The bauxite resources in Qingzhen City are very rich. The reserves of bauxite are 229 million tons, accounting for 9.9% of the total bauxite resources in the country. Guizhou Guangalu Alumina Project started construction in November 2006 and was officially approved by the National Development and Reform Commission in December 2008.
According to the construction plan, the total investment in alumina and supporting mine projects is 20 billion yuan. It is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2012, and annual sales will exceed 2.5 billion yuan. According to progress in the construction of alumina projects, Guizhou Guangluo will also build follow-up projects for aluminum smelting and deep processing of aluminum.
