Manufacturers, if the strains are shipped and produced smoothly, China is expected to produce the first batch of H1N1 influenza vaccine by the end of July.


Yin Hongzhang, director of the Department of Biological Products of the Pharmaceutical Registration Department of the Bureau of Drug Administration, said that currently there are 11 seasonal influenza vaccine manufacturers in China, and one of them has the qualification for pandemic influenza vaccine production. If influenza A (H1N1) is identified as seasonal influenza, 11 influenza vaccine manufacturers can immediately start production, and the first batch of vaccines will be produced at the end of July, with a production capacity of 3 million doses and an annual production capacity of 360 million doses; Influenza A H1N1 has been identified as a pandemic influenza. Only one company in China has the qualification for production. The first batch of vaccine production can reach 250,000 doses, and the annual production capacity is 27 million doses.
