Tool Scaffolding Work Safety Measures

1. The design and construction of a tool scaffold must be based on a detailed construction plan, which must be reviewed and approved by the technical supervisor. This ensures that all safety standards are met before any work begins. 2. Companies involved in the installation of attached lifting scaffolds must hold a valid "professional contracting qualification" for such scaffolding. This certification ensures they have the necessary expertise and compliance with industry regulations. 3. Attached lifting scaffolds must comply with the Interim Provisions on the Administration of Attached Scaffolds for Construction (No. 230 [2000]). The working surface should be fully covered with sturdy scaffolding planks, and an 18 cm high toe board must be installed. A dense mesh safety net should be used to cover the inner side of the outer row of the scaffold. Two 1.2-meter-high guardrails should be placed on the inside, while a single guardrail is required on the outside of the working area. The safety net should also be wrapped around the bottom of the scaffolding planks to prevent falling objects. 4. Dense mesh safety nets must be tightly sealed on the outside of the basket and both sides. During the use of lifting scaffolds, hangers, and baskets, a horizontal safety net at the first level must be installed according to high-altitude operation standards. The baskets must be securely fastened to the building structure to prevent accidental movement or detachment. 5. When lifting or lowering the basket, an independent safety rope must be used, with a diameter of at least 12.5 mm. All operators must wear a properly secured safety harness to ensure their personal safety during operations. 6. The cantilever beam’s length must be perpendicular to the steel wire rope of the hanging basket. Measures must be taken to ensure the strength, rigidity, and stability of the cantilever beam meet safety requirements. There should be mechanisms in place to prevent the rope from slipping off the beam. After riveting the basket, the reserved rebar ring must be strong enough, and the structural strength of the building at the suspension point must also meet construction standards. 7. The length of the hanging basket must not exceed 6 meters to maintain balance and stability during lifting operations. 8. The external hanger's suspension points must use bolts that pass through the wall. These bolts must be strong enough to support the load and should be padded with plates and secured with double nuts. The structural strength of the building at these points must also meet the required safety standards. 9. To prevent damage to the wire rope at the contact points with angular objects, protective measures must be implemented, such as using padding or sleeves. 10. For elevator well bearing platforms and material transfer platforms, a special construction plan must be developed, and proper acceptance procedures must be followed to ensure they are safe for use. 11. The scaffolding boards on material transfer platforms must be tightly secured, and a protective fence of at least 1.5 meters in height should surround the platform. The inner side of the fence must be covered with a dense mesh safety net, and an 18 cm high toe board should be installed at the bottom. Signage must be clearly visible on the platform, specifying usage instructions and load limits.
