Governor Li emphasized that, overall, fire safety equipment in Anhui Province has done a good job and has also been successful, but fire safety cannot be relaxed at any time. All localities and departments should further raise awareness of the importance of fire safety, and in conjunction with the implementation of the “Opinions” of the State Council and the provincial government, comprehensively strengthen the construction of the province’s fire brigade, improve the level of fire fighting equipment, implement fire safety responsibilities, and continuously enhance the province’s fire protection. Professional strength and firefighting, emergency and emergency handling capabilities provide strong security for economic and social development and people’s lives.

Since the promulgation of the “Opinions” of the State Council, Anhui Province has attached great importance to the establishment of a special leading group and organized the intensive efforts to carry out the drafting of the province’s opinions. It has held five seminars and two written requests for the Provincial Development and Reform Commission and the Provincial Department of Finance. The opinions of the provincial departments and the municipal governments ensured the smooth introduction of opinions from our province. The full text of the "Opinions" of Anhui Province consists of 16 parts in four parts. The first part clarifies the guiding ideology, basic principles, and overall objectives of the province to strengthen and improve fire protection. The second, third and fourth parts highlight fire prevention, infrastructure construction, and job security, with particular emphasis on fire safety work in rural areas and communities, and detailed breakdown of the "four capabilities" construction and fire protection planning and revision of key fire safety units. Compulsory recruitment of firemen, fire-fighting equipment, fire safety education and other 11 tasks; proposed safeguard measures for implementation of fire safety management responsibilities, advancement of social fire management innovation, improvement of fire protection funding mechanisms, and strict fire safety accountability. .

On the morning of May 15, Anhui Provincial Governor Li Bin chaired the 98th provincial government executive meeting and reviewed and approved the "Opinions of the Anhui Provincial People's Government on Further Strengthening and Improving Fire Control Work." Deputy provincial governors Ni Faike and Hua Jianhui attended the meeting, and the relevant responsible comrades of the 14 agencies (bureaus and offices) of the Provincial Public Security Department, the Provincial Development and Reform Commission and the Provincial Department of Education attended the meeting.

After hearing the report from the Provincial Public Security Department, Governor Li pointed out that the fire protection work is related to the safety of people's lives and property and social harmony and stability. It is an important task to ensure safe development and serve the people's livelihood needs. It is an important part of the government's performance of social management functions.

For the fire protection work for a period of time in the future, Governor Li proposed "three emphasis." The first is to pay attention to the source of fire prevention. While strengthening the construction of fire-fighting equipment, we must pay more attention to the construction of fire-fighting plans and municipal fire-fighting facilities. We must effectively shut down the source and leave no sequelae. The second is to pay attention to the quality of equipment. All localities must study and equip fire-fighting equipment according to local characteristics in light of local conditions, ensure scientific and reasonable targets, and effectively improve combat effectiveness in firefighting and rescue operations. We must actively promote the use of scientific and technological achievements in fire science research institutions and fire-fighting companies, and strive for combat effectiveness with science and technology. The third is to pay attention to fire fighting and rescue emergency drills. We must establish and improve emergency rescue command platforms and social linkage mechanisms, organize drills on a regular basis, and effectively improve rescue and emergency response capabilities. Before and after the "5.12" next year, a provincial-level, large-scale fire fighting and rescue drill will be held.
