The
flame retardants in developed countries in Europe and America have been used for a long time. The application of flame retardants has become very common. With the increasing awareness of environmental protection, safety and health, the development direction of these mature flame retardants has gradually turned to development in recent years. A new type of environmentally friendly flame retardant represented by “no bromination†and various new flame retardant products are constantly available.
In China, although the production of flame retardants in 2008 was around 180,000 tons to 20,000 tons, most of these flame retardants were exported to foreign countries directly or after preliminary processing, and were rarely used in the country. Taking plastics as an example, about 10% of the world's plastics were added with flame retardants around 2012. At present, China's flame retardant plastics account for only about 2% of plastic products, which is lower than the world average and lower than that of Europe and the United States. The reason for the country and region is mainly because the domestic flame retardant requirements for materials have not yet reached the level of mandatory enforcement.
The flame retardant compounding technique is a combination of a phosphorus-based, halogen-based, nitrogen-based, and inorganic-based flame retardant or a certain type of flame retardant. Because the flame retardant is in practical application, a single flame retardant often has certain defects, which is difficult to meet the increasing requirements of people. Therefore, two or more flame retardants can be synthesized by the flame retardant compounding technology. The strengths of the company, and take the longest complements, maximize the synergistic effect of the flame retardant, in order to reduce the amount of use, enhance the flame retardant effect.
It can be seen that the development potential of flame retardants in the domestic market is still huge. With the further improvement and implementation of fire and flame retardant laws and regulations in China and other emerging markets, the application area and demand scale of flame retardants will be further expanded.
The POLYKEN 980,955 is a multi layer system used for the protection of steel pipelines. The adhesives in these and all POLYKEN tape systems contain proven anti-microbial additives.The POLYKEN 980/955 can also be used for ductile iron pipes, in this case the use of 1027 primer is recommended.
