**1. Analysis of the Causes of the Problem:**
Fan bearings are critical components that ensure smooth operation in large ventilation systems. When a fan bearing malfunctions, it can lead to increased vibration, overheating, and even system failure. Common causes include improper installation, incorrect clearance, and wear over time.
In many cases, the issue arises from the bearing’s internal clearance being too small. This can happen when the shaft and inner ring of the bearing are too tightly fitted, limiting the movement of the rolling elements inside. As a result, the bearing may experience excessive heat and increased vibration.
Another common problem is misalignment during installation. If the bearing is not properly aligned with the housing or the shaft, it can cause uneven load distribution, leading to premature wear. Additionally, if the bearing is not cleaned regularly, dust and debris can accumulate, causing further damage.
When the bearing's clearance is insufficient, the internal rolling elements are restricted, which reduces the bearing's ability to self-center. This leads to higher oscillation values and potential damage to the bearing housing.
**2. Cleaning and Maintenance Methods:**
To address these issues, regular cleaning and proper maintenance are essential. One effective method is to remove the adapter sleeve and adjust the fit between the shaft and the inner ring of the bearing. After replacing the bearing, ensure that the gap is set to around 0.10mm to allow for proper clearance and movement.
Start the fan from the head device side and monitor the bearing's oscillation value and working temperature. If both remain within normal ranges, the issue has likely been resolved.
It is also important to check the manufacturing quality of the machine parts. Poorly manufactured components can contribute to bearing failure, especially if the internal clearance is too tight. In such cases, using high-quality bearings, such as spherical roller bearings, can help improve performance and reduce the risk of failure.
Regular inspection and maintenance are crucial for ensuring the long-term reliability of fan bearings. Proper installation, correct clearance, and regular cleaning can significantly extend the lifespan of the bearing and prevent costly downtime.
