1. **Analysis of the Cause of the Problem:**
Fan bearings can experience issues due to several factors. When the bearing is fixed between the wheel and the sleeve, problems such as high temperature, excessive vibration, or improper clearance may occur. In some cases, the bearing's upper cover might be removed, leading to misalignment or uneven load distribution. This can result in roller damage or even a rollover condition in non-load areas.
The internal clearance of the bearing is usually very small—only 0.04mm. However, if the clearance increases to 0.08mm, it could indicate that the bearing span is too large or there is an error in the alignment. Large fans often use spherical roller bearings that are designed for self-adjustment. However, if the internal clearance is insufficient, the bearing’s ability to center itself is compromised, which leads to increased vibration.
Additionally, when the cooperation tightness between the shaft and the inner ring increases, the internal clearance decreases. This can cause the rolling elements to become restricted, reducing the bearing's efficiency and increasing the working temperature. It's crucial to ensure proper clearance during installation to avoid overheating and premature failure.
2. **Cleaning and Maintenance Methods:**
To address these issues, it's important to properly disassemble and clean the fan bearings. First, retract the adapter sleeve and adjust the tightness between the shaft and the inner ring. After replacing the bearing, the gap should be set to around 0.10mm. Once the fan is started from the head device, the bearing's vibration and temperature should return to normal levels.
If the internal clearance is too small or the manufacturing accuracy of the machine parts is poor, the bearing can overheat quickly. To prevent this, it's essential to maintain the correct clearance during installation and ensure that all components are properly aligned. Bearings with tapered sleeves are commonly used in such applications, but improper installation can lead to issues like loosening or burning due to inadequate contact between the inner ring and the tightening sleeve.
