Do you use cast-in-place insulated profiles in accordance with the national testing requirements?

【China Aluminum Industry Network】 In recent years, the pouring and heat-insulating aluminum doors and windows have developed rapidly and the market share has increased year by year. In 2004, the China Non-Ferrous Metals Standardization Technical Committee launched the national standard “Aluminum Alloy Building Profile Part 6 Insulation Profile” for cast-in-place heat insulation profiles, which is also known as GB5237.6. We screened cast-type profiles according to the test results of GB5237.6. The most common method is based on the normal temperature, high-low temperature tensile strength, and shear resistance of the heat-insulating material, and only focuses on the tensile strength of the heat-insulated material. Shear resistance, while ignoring the physical properties of the insulation itself, is unscientific. For this purpose, in 2012, led by the China Non-Ferrous Metals Standardization Technical Committee, Yasong Polyurethanes (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and the National Chemical Building Materials Testing Center editor, several national standards for heat-insulation rubber were incorporated into the "Aluminum Alloy Building Profiles Assistive Materials". Part 2: Polyurethane Heat-insulating Adhesive Material, which was formally promulgated in GB/T23615.2 and will be implemented starting in 2013.

GB5237.6 focuses on the resistance to wind pressure of cast-in-place heat insulation profiles and the shrinkage results after prolonged use. One of the more important technical indicators is the shear resistance of heat-insulated profiles, and the national standard GB/T23615.2 The focus is on the properties of the heat-insulation adhesive itself, such as impact strength performance, machinability, and applicability, among which the more important technical index is the impact strength and elongation at break of the heat-insulation adhesive. This means that even if all of the national standard GB/T23615.2 inspection items (such as tensile, shear, and thermal cycle tests) of cast-in-place thermal insulation profiles that you purchase and use are passed, it does not mean that these profiles do not have potential safety hazards. The national standard GB/T23615.2 test items that must be combined with reference to the heat-insulation glue used in this batch of profiles are all passed, and are truly safe profiles. The more important test item in the national standard GB/T23615.2 is the notch impact strength. The qualification of this indicator is directly related to whether the profile you use will be embrittled or deformed, that is, even if your profile is sheared. The cutting force is acceptable. If the impact resistance of the insulating rubber is unacceptable, your profile may crack, deform or cause a safety accident.

Therefore, in the selection of cast profiles, not only must the supplier obtain the inspection report of the profile, but also should ask the supplier for the inspection report of the insulating glue or request the sample of the insulating glue for self-inspection. For a long time, aluminum manufacturers and door and window curtain wall enterprises have no uniform standard for how to identify heat insulation. The enactment of GB/T23615.2 has solved this problem. The national standards for thermal insulation glue have provided detailed regulations for the testing items, methods, polyurethane heat-insulation rubber packaging, and quality certificates. This makes us have a clear standard in identifying the quality of insulation rubber.

Polyurethane insulation testing is divided into two major items - the original rubber detection and polyurethane insulation rubber sheet testing. The original glue inspection includes appearance quality inspection and manual solidification time detection. Insulation rubber sheet inspection includes appearance quality, density, load deformation temperature, thermal conductivity, notched Izod impact strength, Shore hardness, room temperature tensile strength, fracture strain, low temperature tensile strength, and resistance to UV aging. You can search on standard sharing network GB/T23615.2, free download to see details.

The most important item in the inspection of the insulating rubber sheet is the notched Izod impact strength.

The notched Izod impact strength test is a destructive experiment to verify that the energy absorbed by a polyurethane when it is destroyed can evaluate the impact resistance of a material or determine the brittleness and toughness of a material.

Fig. 1 (The dimensions and shapes of the rubber sheet can be processed into the above figure and can be tested)

Insulation adhesive sample plates are prepared with templates of sizes not less than 170mm*170mm*12mm and 300mm*300mm*12mm.

The notched Izod impact strength of the insulating rubber sheet determines whether the strength of your thermal insulation profile is up to standard? Is the window used in a high-rise building safe? Will the profile break? Will the windows fall? This indicator is very important, reminding everyone to attach great importance. If you purchase or use cast insulated profiles, it is recommended that you ask the manufacturer for the impact report of the rubber sheet that was recently issued by the National Chemical Building Materials Testing Center. If the supplier cannot provide them, you can also ask them for the sample of the plastic sheet. You can Contact the local testing organization to test the impact strength. The general experiment cost is about 200-300 RMB.
