Solar tracking control system

Due to the fact that solar photovoltaic systems are typically installed at fixed locations, the angle of sunlight varies throughout the year due to seasonal changes in the position of the sun. While the concept of a universal sun-tracking control system has been developed globally, these systems rely heavily on precise calculations based on the latitude and longitude of the installation site. They store the exact position of the sun for every moment of the year in devices like PLCs, MCUs, or specialized software to enable real-time tracking. This method uses complex algorithms derived from astronomical data, which require detailed information about the Earth’s geographical coordinates. Once set up, these systems are not easily portable or modifiable without recalibrating the entire setup. Moving the system involves reconfiguring all parameters, which can be both time-consuming and technically challenging. Moreover, the underlying principles involve intricate circuits, advanced technologies, and specialized knowledge—making it difficult for non-experts to manage or maintain. As such, while these systems offer significant benefits in terms of energy efficiency, they come with practical limitations that make them less accessible to the average user.
