Seiko develops high-speed ball bearings for electric vehicle motors

According to foreign media reports, NSK Ltd. has developed a new type of ultra-high-speed bearings for pure electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles and other new energy vehicles. This new bearing allows the motor to run at a higher speed, improve fuel economy (reducing power consumption per unit distance), increase the maximum cruising range of the vehicle, and help improve user comfort. Seiko Co., Ltd.'s goal is that by 2030, its new bearing sales will reach 10 billion yen (about 657 million yuan).
