Discussion on the high quality control points affecting infrared cameras

[ Huaqiang Security Network News ] In recent years, people love infrared cameras. Because of their unique functions, there are still many areas for improvement. Today, Xiaobian summarizes the following three aspects of infrared cameras to be strengthened.
Infrared camera
1, the night vision effect is not ideal
This phenomenon is mainly the effect of the flashlight or the distance is not enough. This problem is mainly caused by the angle and function of the infrared light. The infrared lamp used by our infrared camera is also called 850 infrared emission tube. The peak wavelength is 850 nm, and the angle can be selected from 5-60 degrees. When the angle of the infrared emission tube is smaller, the farther the illumination distance is, the more obvious the effect of the flashlight is. On the contrary, the larger the angle, the less the effect of the flashlight, but the distance is greatly reduced. To solve this problem, it is mainly to see what kind of effect the manufacturer wants to pursue. And what kind of cost, of course, the power and price of the infrared emission lamp is directly proportional.
2, color reproduction is not enough during the day
The color of the infrared camera will be more or less color cast during the day. The most direct reason is the problem of the camera filter. Generally, the infrared camera can transmit a certain proportion of infrared light. The bimodal filter has the advantage of low cost, but because natural light contains more infrared components, it will interfere with color reproduction when it enters the CCD, such as green plants become gray and so on (the outdoor environment with sunlight is especially obvious). The use of IPCUT dual filters effectively solves this problem. The IRCUT dual filter consists of an infrared cut filter and a full-spectrum optical glass. When the daytime light is sufficient, the IR cut filter works, CCD is restored. The true color, when the night light is insufficient, the infrared cut-off filter is automatically removed, the full-spectrum optical glass starts to work, so that the CCD makes full use of all the light, thereby greatly improving the infrared performance.
3. Factors affecting the service life of infrared lamps
A part of the energy consumed by the lamp is converted into effective light energy, and part of it is converted into heat energy, which is unavoidable. The problem is to have reasonable control and disposal of the heat generated. When the generated heat energy is too much, or the temperature drop is too high when the appropriate cooling measures are not taken, the excessive aging of the lamp tube causes the irradiation distance to drop too fast. In particular, some producers do not have a healthy business philosophy, unilaterally pursue the performance at the time of delivery, neglect the service life of the product, and strive to pursue brightness and distance without solving the problem of excessive heat and temperature rise. The service life has dropped rapidly.
In the night vision monitoring system, the conventional method is to use visible light illumination, but this method has the disadvantages of being incapable of concealing and easily exposing the monitoring target, so the use is less; currently, the covert and scientific night vision monitoring adopts infrared camera technology. Infrared camera technology is divided into passive and active. Passive infrared camera technology uses any substance to have infrared radiation above absolute zero (-273 ° C). The higher the temperature of the object, the more infrared radiation is emitted. The most common type of camera made with this principle is the thermal imaging camera. However, this special infrared camera is expensive and therefore limited to military or special occasions. The active infrared camera technology uses infrared light to radiate "illumination" (mainly infrared light), and applies ordinary low-light black-and-white camera, color-to-black-and-white camera or infrared low-light color camera to feel the infrared light reflected from surrounding scenes and environment. Night vision monitoring. The active infrared camera technology is mature and stable, and has become the mainstream of night vision surveillance.
The power and angle of the infrared light, the configuration of the camera, the infrared lens with a certain focal length, and whether there is a good power supply cooling process are important parameters for judging the performance of the infrared integrated camera. At present, there are many products on the market that are separated from the infrared projector. This requires the user to have a sufficient understanding of the performance of the infrared light and the camera, and can make a reasonable match according to the angle of the infrared light and the camera lens parameters.
I hope that the friends of infrared camera manufacturers can consider the above points in the technological innovation and look forward to the improved infrared camera interview.
