The ISO 13399 international standard provides metal cutting data in a neutral form that is independent of the nomenclature of any particular system or company. Manufacturers can enter relevant information directly into PLM, CAD, CAM, and CNC simulation systems or tool management systems. By quickly accessing the required tool data, the shop can determine the best machining plan to match the most efficient tool selection.
